Notes: Harvest ripe cucumbers fast as they mature for vines to continue producing. Requires fertile clay soil enriched with well-rotted manure and compost. Vines grow rapidly and can be trained. Once cucumbers start growing, they must have constant supply of soil moisture. Pick fruit when it is succulent and green (Immature.) Plants are very susceptible to frost. May be carefully transplanted from hot bed.
